Availability of kyber

Is there any precedent of whether the bar can provide kyber crystals or any technology containing kyber, like lightsabers?

As the rule is 'no living things' and the crystals are described es partially alive, I was wondering whether we have precedent, or whether we can agree on a common line on that question.

I do feel out of respect for Filoni, giant wolves need to be involved, but yes Artoo should totally be involved!
